Know Your Meme Presents: 'Meme Mayhem'

Have you ever had a dream that you, um, you had, your, you- you could, you’ll do, you- you wants, you, you could do so, you- you’ll do, you could- you, you want, you want him to do you so much you could do anything?

Well, now you can.

Know Your Meme is proud to announce Meme Mayhem, a platform fighter where all your favorite memes engage in combat to decide who is the strongest meme of them all!

The latest effort from Know Your Meme Interactive (KYM-i), their first since 1997's Gimme Pizza Tower, looks to revolutionize the platform fighting genre.

"It's no secret that many developers are trying to get a piece of the platform fighter pie right now," said KYM-i CEO Don Caldwell, referring to recent, high-profile games like Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl and Multiversus.

"What sets Meme Mayhem apart," he continued, "is that it will give fans a roster filled with characters everybody likes and no single fighter has any broken BS that makes you throw your controller at your nephew and you ruin the family 4th of July party and cause your wife and kids to leave you a broken, shell of a human torturing your employees for sport. Basically, there's no Steve from Super Smash Brothers Ultimate."

That roster will include some of meme history's most iconic characters, including Pepe the Frog, Gigachad, LoFi Girl and Swole Doge, to name a few.

"Don came to me and said, 'I want you to make me a game where I can beat Sonichu to death with hammers,'" said the game's director, Bonesaw Blake.

"I said, 'That's not much of a game, Don,' and he said, 'You'll make it by the end of the month or you can say goodbye to one of your fingers,' and thus, Meme Mayhem was born."

Already, the industry is buzzing with excitement over Meme Mayhem.

"This game has done the impossible," said Super Smash Brothers Melee legend Hungrybox. When asked what he meant, Hungrybox's eyes turned completely white and his mouth unleashed a horrible noise that, mercifully, no word can describe in the English language. After convulsing for thirty minutes, he said, "I think Super Smash Brothers could learn a thing or two from Meme Mayhem."

The game will feature all your favorite locations from memes, including the Joker Stairs and The Backrooms. There's also a Meme Mayhem version of Small Battlefield, which will assuredly be the only stage used by sweaty tryhards.

Meme Mayhem will release April 31st, 2024 on all major platforms, including iBox, Xbox720 and PS69.
